Partnership Group meetings
The Lothians & Fife Green Network Partnership Group members meet three times annually to discuss progress, share experience and best practice and to discuss relevant issues. Presentations and themes are organised for these meetings in order to provide a platform for knowledge sharing and discussion amongst partners. The role of the Partnership Group is to be responsible for the oversight and delivery of Partnership objectives as described by the LFGNP business plan (please contact us for more information).
The Partnership holds an annual forum that has appeal to core members of the Partnership and to broader interests in relation to the topic chosen. The broader interest group comprises; Council members, project partners, heads of service, senior managers, and other public, private and third sector organisations and businesses with an interest in green network development.
March 2018 SPP, Community Planning and Local Place Plans
The LFGNP Forum was held at the Melting Pot in Edinburgh Monday 26th March. There was a welcome and introduction from Ian Angus, LFGNP Chair followed by a review of The Planning Bill by Kate Houghton, Royal Town Planning Institute. Planning Advice Scotland looked at Community Planning and Local Place Plans – with presentations from Chris Sillick, David McAllister. Which was followed up by a real-life example at Wester Hailes presented by Helena Barrett, Creative Placemaker at WHALE Arts. 2 workshops were held to gather ideas from participants on how Community Planning could improve Green Infrastructure outcomes and ideas on Local Place Plans.
